Palma De Gandia
Palma de Gandia
Is a small town very close to the city of Gandia. A ten minute drive and 15 minute drive to the beaches. It is also on a bus route so no car required. If you fly into Valencia there is a train service which goes to Gandia and the bus station is the same place as the train station in Gandia.
Palma de Gandia is very Spanish, with beautiful architecture, pretty streets and plenty of traditional Valencian features. Some of the town houses have sea views while others have mountain and some have both.
Palma de Gandia has it's own municipal swimming pool, padel courts, tennis courts and Ador (next town in walking distance) has other sports facilities, basketball and football. Ador has an all year around swimming pool, which is covered and heated for the winter months. The mountains have beautiful nature walks and caves for exploring.
Shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, banks, butchers, bakers, hardware shops, florists are just a few of the amenities in the area.
Both villages have their own historical churches which are laden with gold inside and beautiful architecture on the outside.
The city of Ganida is just 10 minutes’ drive away and is on a bus route for those who do not drive. Gandia has its own history and stunning buildings, Borja Palace, College of the Borja’s, Cathedral and plenty of fabulous tapas bars and restaurants.
The beaches are accessible within 15 minutes and they are all BLUE FLAG and family safe beaches. A wide variety of water sports can be found such as kitesurfing, paddle boarding, kayaking and Gandia has its own marina with a selection of bars, restaurants and shops all in walking distance.
There are several schools in and around the area but the nearest International School is the British School Gandia which offers the following:
Complete language immersion from Pre-Nursery to Year 13 (0 to 18 years of age)
Personal and individualized education, with continuous supervision and curricular adaptation to each pupil’s needs.
A comprehensive education which covers learning in all curricular and extra-curricular subject areas designed for artistic and physical development: judo, ballet, tennis, violin, etc.
