Benidorm

Benidorm is a thriving city north of Alicante and south of Valencia. Easy to get to by bus, train or car from Alicante airport.
It is a city that has everything you would want for permanent living or for holidays in the sun.
With 3 main beaches Playa de Levante, Playa de Poniente and Playa de Mal Pas all having been awarded the blue flag for cleanliness and beautiful clear water, perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Many other water sports can be found along the coastline including, sailing, paragliding, padel boarding, kayaking and much more. If you like the water then this is a great place to be.
If however you just want to sit on the beach and sunbath taking in all the activities around you then this is a busy place to be. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols to hire or just take your towel and relax.
There are 3 popular theme parks just on the outskirts of Benidorm, Terra Mitica, Aqualandia and Mundomar which are all family parks.
Benidorm has the famous Benidorm Palace which has an entertaining show including acrobatics, flamenco dancing and the slow-motion men.
Fiestas are also very popular in Benidorm with all the traditional fiestas including the Moors and the Christians, 3 Kings and various other activities and street parties throughout the year.
Shopping is good here too, people from all over this part of the coastline come to Benidorm into the Old Town and the shopping centre just outside of Benidorm in Finestrat.
Walking there is a stunning walk to the Cruz which has magnificent views over Benidorm and a very romantic place when the sun goes down.
Have a look at some of my photos of the town and surrounds.
