La Font d'en Carros

Is a municipality of Valencia, Spain. Located a few minutes’ drive from the AP7 Junction 61 which is approximately 50 minutes to Valencia and 1 hour 10 minutes to Alicante Airports.

It comes under the Valencia & Costa Del Azahar region which is the boarder of the Costa Blanca North and very, accessible to transport being in the middle of two Major airports.

How to get there: By car from Valencia and Alicante Airports the main motorway road is the AP7 Junction 61.

From Valencia a train to Gandia and a taxi or a bus to la Font D’en Carros.

From Alicante a bus to Denia and then a bus to Oliva and then onto la Font D’en Carros.

La Font d'en Carros is a small self-sufficient town just 8km inland from Oliva and the stunning blue flag beaches. Population just over 4,000.

The local town has all amenities such as bars, restaurants, sports facilities, local swimming pool, supermarkets, churches, banks, hairdressers, butchers, bakers, patisserie and just 10 minutes away are the STUNNING BLUE FLAG BEACHES of Oliva, Bellreguard, Miramar and Gandia so a choice of fabulous beaches and towns to go to.

Monuments

Parish Church. It stands at the top of the town. It is Gothic and is dedicated to San Antonio Martyr with images of Christ and the Virgin of Amparo Remedy. The original was built in 1329.
Rebollet Castle. Well the remains of a castle which is always of importance to the Spanish.

Fiesta’s
Major Festivals. Celebrates its patron saint Our Lady of Remedy and the Christ of Amparo in the 2nd half of the month of August.
Feast of San Antonio and Medieval Market. It is held the last week of January, celebrating the Feast of St. Anthony and the medieval market.

Activities

GOLF

The local golf course is in Oliva Nova this is an 18-hole golf course called Oliva Nova Golf and Country Club which is in a great setting close to the coast and beach and designed by world famous Spanish golfer Seve Ballesteros. The golf course is very well rated by golfers and enables you to play golf while enjoying a great beach holiday.

TENNIS

There are various tennis clubs around La Font D’en Carros the main clubs can be found in Gandia, Oliva and Bellreguard.

WALKING AND HIKING

There are some beautiful woodland walks in and around La Font D’en Carros which is ideal for the outdoor way of life and if you have dogs or just enjoy strolling there are walks for everyone at all levels.

Areas within La Font D’en Carros

Tossal Gros is a well-established residential urbanisation with street lights and most villas have AMAZING SEA VIEWS. The urbanisation is situated between Oliva and the main town of La Font D’en Carros and from here the beaches are only 10 minutes away. Main town Oliva for shopping is perfect from here as it is only 5 minutes by car and you are in the heart of everything.

La Font D’En Carros Town self-explanatory really these are properties located in the town and as the town is nestled on the bottom of a mountain there are no real steep inclines so getting around is much easier that other towns.

Campo/ Countryside these are properties in the countryside normally surrounded by orange groves usually all on one level with views up to the mountains rather than down to the valley. Property is fairly cheap but there are very strict rules as to what you can and cannot do.

Beaches

INCREDIBLE. Not over crowded like most of the Costa Blanca Beaches. Miles and miles of BLUE FLAG BEACHES, beaches for everyone, quiet and secluded or the opposite with water sports such as kitesurfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, banana boats, jet skis and much more it all depends what you like to do. The main thing is the beaches are never over crowded which is why they are so popular with the Spanish.

The waters are shallow so great for families with young children, no sudden drops like the Atlantic or other rough seas.

Along the beaches there are nature reserves in the sand dunes and most plants are protected like most of the coastline in Valencia.

Various coffee shops, bars, restaurants, gift shops, supermarkets all thriving in the summer months some of these are accessible from the beaches depending on where you go. Near the shops are the life guards and Red Cross centre.

From La Font D’en Carros there is a choice of beaches to go to. Oliva is the closest from Tossal Gros then from the town of La Font D’en Carros you can go to Miramar, Piles, Oliva, Gandia you will find your favourite beach by just visiting them and finding what you prefer.
