Calpe

Where is Calpe? Calpe is located in the Marina Alta, north of Benidorm and South of Javea and Moraira.  Easily accessible from the AP7 autopista from Alicante or Valencia Airports. A train service is available from Alicante to Calpe known as the tram. (FGV)

Calpe is more than just a seaside town; it has everything you can want from all year living. It is very popular with the tourists in the summer and winter months and attracts people to the stunning blue flag waters. Ideal for snorkelling, diving, padel boarding, swimming and boating from the small marina.

The Penyon de Ifach is one of the most popular attractions for visitors and residents who like walking and climbing. With breath-taking views over the town and across the Mediterranean.

Other walking routes around the mountains overlooking Calpe include more breathtaking views.

Cycling is very popular around the Marina Alta which many clubs to join and b part of. Cyclist come from all over to enjoy the beautiful and picturesque countryside.

The town has plenty to see and do, restaurants galore you will find all cuisine here, plenty of supermarkets, banks, 24 hour mdical centre and a coffee culture that seems to be endless.

There is a local golf club in Benissa and another in Benidorm.

It has many different nationalities in and around the town, most people who work in Calpe are multilingual, which is really lovely to see.

The historical castle (Castell Mascaret) is an adverturous walk for the fit as there is an element of climbing involved.

 

 

The Old town of Calpe is well worth a walk around, plenty to see and buildings to admire, the Spanish steps painted in the Spanish colours.

The whole of the Old Town is quite special and every corner you walk around has something pretty to see.

Character and charm are just two words to describe this beautiful town. I am sure when you visit you will find plenty of your own words to describe it.
