Where is this pretty town?

From Gandia follow the CV60 and exit at junction 26. It is 17km to the Centre of Gandia and takes about 20 minutes to get to the beaches.

A very friendly village where people speak to you like your best friends. Passionate about their village and history. 

The town has history dating back to 1361 when the Romans were in the area. There are around 600 people living in this small town yet the town has so much to offer if you are looking for a holiday home or a permanent home away from the crowds of holiday makers on the coast.

With this town you get the best of both worlds, beautiful countryside and yet just 20 minutes to the coast.

San Roc is the main church situated next to the town hall.

Market day has stalls full of fresh fruit and vegetables and a delicious cheese stall.

Main local supermarket situated on Calle Major.

Bar and Restaurant Corrales is a very popular restaurant for food and drink in the local area.

If you fancy a game of pool then bar Pakys’ located next to the church.

Local sports centre with municipal swimming pool with a bar for snacks and refreshments open in the summer months.

The town hall is not just a town hall but also known as Casa de Poble. Inside it has the medical centre, social club, library, exhibition hall, local classes of interest and the post office.

Fresh Bakery located on Calle Major which is a family run bakery.

Local hairdressers apparently there are 2 in the village.

Riu Vernissa is the main river the town sits on yet for the majority of the year is empty, this river also the divider of two towns, Llocnou de Sant Jeroni and Almisera. Both towns are about a 2 minute walk from each other over the bridge.

Novo Spa Centre where you can rest and relax, situated on Calle Major.

 

Placa de la Safor is the main square in the town. This is where they have the fiestas in August from the 12th-18th. Well work a visit, something new every day.

Bus route to Gandia and Ontinyent

Childrens playground and senior local school, Almesira has the junior school.
